Artformz Submissions Procedures
If you are interested in exhibiting, curating, or developing projects with Artformz please review our website thoroughly to determine
if your work is a good fit with our mission.
Artists may submit digital portfolios only, for consideration as an:
Artist Partner or Artist Associate
Both groups have different benefits and responsibilities. Before submitting be sure you are familiar and would be able to comply with these details as displayed below.
Being involved with Artformz is a commitment. We look for innovative, dynamic people who are self directed and are willing, when the need arrises, to be active in gallery operations, events and projects.
Your submission on a CD or DVD must include:
1. Up to 15 images at 300 dpi aproximately 5" x 7", or 3 video/performance samples 5 minutes each
(no huge files please, nor small 72 dpi files where details may not be viewed)
2. A CV as a document file either .doc or .pdf
3. A statement about the work submitted as either a .doc file or a .pdf file
4. An image list including titles, sizes, medium, & date
Artformz artists have the freedom to show challenging, non-commercial installations, performances, video and more, in our strategically located exhibition venue of the Wynwood Art District.
Artformz artists commit to at least one year. If you are not able to commit for a year, please do not apply. In May of each year a review of all Artist Partners will take place. An invitation to continue as a Partner for a second year will be determined on how each artist has enhanced the gallery mission and the group as a whole. As space becomes available new artists will be invited as Artist Partners.
Artformz Artists are encouraged to jump in, bring new ideas and inspire innovative projects. Attendance at openings is very important. If you have experience as a curator, experience with exhibitions, art writing, carpentry skills, grant writing prowess, etc. please make this evident when you apply.
ARTIST PARTNER a limited group
Benefits:
1. Great opportunities to exhibit their own work.
1. Inclusion in a Trio show during the High Season Months, October - April
2. Included in Art Basel Exhibit – December
3. May submit a Group Project for approval to exhibit in the gallery, including any artists you select. As curator you are required assist in your project’s management
4. Artists Portfolio page on website – 5 images, statement, CV, link to artist’s website
5. These partners may be selected for Traveling Shows or X-Change exhibits
6. Two artists each year will be selected to prepare a Limited Edition Member Gift…for community Members/Donors
7. Participation in the future Artformz Online Art Shop of limited edition prints and small works.
8. Participation in the Artformz Wallz Project. Bimonthly artists submit designs for a street mural design to be produced on the exterior wall adjacent to Artformz' street entrance.
9. Invitation to all private events held at Artformz
Responsibilities:
Partners are not financially bound other than a monthly membership fee for a 1 year term, unless circumstances that are mutually agreed upon arise. Equally, partners are not included in the decision making process of Artformz, LLC, nor its business plan, corporate structure, or physical design.
Attendance at openings is not required but very important.
Artwork for exhibitions must be delivered according to schedule, wired & ready to hang.
Special display requirements must be planned in advance and are the artist's responsibility
Artists will pay 20% commission to Artformz on the sale of work on exhibit at the gallery or a sale made through a contact originating at the gallery.
The Artist Partner exhibition and collaboration fee is $100.00 monthly (paid quarterly)
ARTIST ASSOCIATE an unlimited group
Benefits:
1. Participation in the yearly Associates Show a juried exhibit. Outside juror TBA each year.
1. Artists Portfolio page on website – 5 images, statement, CV, link to artist’s website
2. Participation in the future Artformz Online Art Shop of limited edition prints and small works.
3. Possible invitation to participate in selected Artformz produced events & projects
4. Participation in the Artformz Wallz Project. Bimonthly artists submit designs for a street mural design to be produced on the exterior wall adjacent to Artformz' street entrance.
5. Invitation to all private events held at Artformz
Responsibilities:
Associates are not financially bound other than a yearly membership fee, unless circumstances that are mutually agreed upon arise. Equally, associates are not included in the decision making process of Artformz, LLC, nor its business plan, corporate structure, or physical design.
Artwork for exhibitions must be delivered according to schedule, wired & ready to hang.
Special display requirements must be planned in advance and are the artist's responsibility
